Yes 12.50R20 will fit on stock rims. Here is the after math of the blowout at 55mph on the road. This last pic is of a mounted 12.50R20XL on the stock rim at the lock ring showing the bead starting to crack and the gap at the bottom between the tire bead and rim bead

16.00s on an A3? Is it bobbed or highly modified?

It's not bobbed. it might have a little lift kit, maybe fabricated dogbones and a longer main leaf. It might even have a stepped up trunion shaft between the springs. One day I'll brave the dogs and go look at it.

Picture #1 is my 12 y/o son next to Ridgerunner's bobbed deuce with 8" lift and 16.00's (He is about 5'5" and 140#)
Picture #2 is an 285x75x16 BF Goodrich A/T next to an 16.00
Picture #3 is the view of the 9.00 and 16.00 showing the width,
and the last one is the 16.00 in the bed of a 3/4 ton Chevy

Just some more reading material for you guys - I think the 14.00's just fit the lines of the truck and wheel openings better...

I have 16.00's on my wrecker and they work just fine as is - ie: bolt on

The duece took a bit more work (wheels and suspension) but the size and road speed are nice - just need a bit more motor...

Although I may need a lot more more motor as the 30ft equipment trailer with a cletrac on in weighs in around 15,000 to 16,000lbs...

Anyhow:

Well,
Thanks for all the help guys, we ordered new 10" wide deuce rims and are going to try out 12.5R20's on one of our deuces. I'll post pics once we are done.
