I am currently going thru rehab on my shoulder and I am unable to drive my truck daily as I usually do. I am concerned about electrolysis and the corrosion it causes or any of the other problems associated with the cooling system and sitting for prolonged periods of time...I am a new to own this amazing vehicle. History: rear seals, saturating brakes inside of drum. Repaired by shop in Montana. Will this happen again? Brakes have started to grip and when it sits for a bit it makes a mechanical sound/applying brakes and a jerky feel (almost like air in the lines). New radiator as last one had small corrosion leaks in the venting. New rebuilt 24 volt starter. New booster as old one leaked inside on brake pedal and saturated inside firewall material, It still leaks... new fuel filter, Lots of oil changes.. front seals on locking hubs, replace most glow plugs and added a heater for the engine in winter weather, also a new heater core as the old one began leaking coolant into the interior. New tires and wheels (almost as much as the truck is worth). I guess you could say I really do love the old gal. A guy I know, has a running joke about my ten thousand dollar truck that's worth 2500....! I just hate the idea of making payments on a new vehicle. One thing at a time....any help or advice with the cooling system would be appreciated..have a great day!
