1989 HMMWV Front Drive Shaft Out of Phase

My mechanic recently replaced my transfer case on my 1989 6.2L HMMEV and noticed my front drive shaft was out of phase. He wanted me to ask someone in the know if that is how it is supposed to be or if it needs to be corrected. Anyone know for certain?

It can't be out of phase, because where the front, front and rear front driveshafts meet with the splined sections. there is a groove that is filled on the front front shaft so the grease zerk that protrudes into the rear front shaft lines up with it. They will only go together one way, if they are not lined up exactly right, they won't go together. The rear one is made "off kilter" looking to keep vibrations down. Now if someone has modified them, then it could be a mess.
