Looks like it is that time of year again to plan for the 4th of July Parades.

This year we are once again going to partake in the Bethany Parade. Here is a link to past events.

I have signed up for 8 trucks so let me know who can attend. As a big bonus, candy can be thrown along the parade route. No need to register yourself. Just let me know if you can attend.

This parade is along historic Route 66

As usual, things may change so please be flexable

In the past we have attended the Edmond Liberty Fest, but seemed to always lose out to the Model A club for 1st place.

I will probably be there. The 4th is my wife's birthday. If I stay on my best behavior I can likely get a hall pass.

Turns out I won't be able to make it. Wife made plans to go out of town. However during the Bethany 66 Festival one of the city council members asked to ride in my truck during the parade. I believe she wanted to have a magnetic sticker made that said something or another and stick it on my door during the parade. With me not able to attend I told her I'd ask around. Would anyone else like to chauffeur her? If so shoot me a PM and I'll get you her contact info.

The entry point for the parade is at NW 42nd and Rockwell. Our staging area is about NW 41st and Peniel. Here is a mapquest map.

You must be at the staging area before 9:30am or you will be at the back of the line. The streets get VERY crowded and moving a big truck through is very tough.

Look like I will not be attending as I sold my MV ride last week. I really don't want to walk the parade route. ;-)

You are welcome to ride with me! Turns out my out of town plans are cancelled and I will be able to make it. I plan on meeting everyone for breakfast.

Off topic, anyone know which forum member lives close to Bethany and had a quad cab 5-ton? Drove past one the other day, lives close to me.
