3116 Front Engine Cover Replacement (1078)

Looking at purchasing a M1078 that seems solid except for a Front Engine Cover crack/gasket issue that has it leaking a fair amount of oil. Something that would need to be corrected right away. Looking at the TM is seems somewhat straight forward with the big obstacle being removing the Fan and Fan Clutch and draining radiator (which probably would do anyway as part of fluid swap on new buy). Not having worked on a 1078 previously I am just looking for a sanity check from someone who has done it on how involved this is.
