37's with a 700r4?

Anyone run 37's with a 700r4? With the 4.56 the gear ratio calculator says 2000rpm at 70mph. Will that be resonable or to low?

Depends How fast you wanna go I suppose. 2000 at 70 seems fine to me.

Reasonable to do what? highway driving, towing, off-roading, transfer sled pulling?

Well I'm not going to be towing, off-roading, or sled pulling at 70. Will it "cruise" ok without cycling in and out of overdrive everytime i hit an incline? It does great with the stock tire size but I'm considering a lift and tires.

The engine is too weak. The trans would be great, if you had more power. It will shift up and down.

Thats what I was thinking. Might have to stick with the stock tires or put a turbo on it and see what happens.

Just run it in drive. The tires are your over drive on this unit!!

I had a 85 K20 with a dana 60 up front and corp 14 bolt in the rear with 4.56 gears. I ran a 700R4 with 37s and it ran out fine.
