Willie, I hope I am not too late on this.

To my knowledge, the 4 speed bayonet is similar to civilian ones. The 3 speed had a special water proof setup when the dwf kit was added. Get the 4 speed setup from an H1 or kashcar. The 4 spd tube/bayonet is much longer also.

My ECV 6.5td with 4spd is sold and no longer on site so no measurements possible. With a 4 spd, you should use the 242 tcase with new cross-member to support the entire setup. Since this set up is longer (due to the 4spd), then you need a new rear propellor with slip yoke. This would be a standard prop unless you have the pinion parking brake (you may need to remove that brake and go with disk brake calipers with parking brake mod). Also, you need to replace the front propellors (at least the one attached to the tcase) since the tcase sit further back.

If you are going to leave the 218 tcase (I do not recommend this since the 242 is much more durable and smoother in the hmmwv), then just have the propellors professionally fitted.

Confused yet?! lol

I drove that truck you are wrenching on! Came from DE and now in FL. I may have the rear propellor but it will be more than a week before I can get to it.
