1990 5 ton has an ABS (air brake system) and the ABS light will not go off when I get ready to start. The warning label says you can damage the system if you try to drive it with the light on. Everything look
s alright with the brakes, any ideas on what I should check?

A place that I work at had a truck with the abs light on. Turned out on of the brakes was caged. Once cage bolt was removed, light went out.

My ABS light was on. And now it's not.
Go to rear axle check wires going to hubs mine was cut into.
Patched them back all is good.
Abs is only on rear axle.

Also check the connections to the ABS box at the rear axle. Sometimes the box gets damaged from voltage spikes (ie improper shutdown etc)
