I'm about to embark on changing the wheel bearings and seals for my M817. I read the TM and multiple posts from my search but find the issue of seals confusing.

I have now purchased the Timken 596 bearings, 593 and 592a cups for all rear axle hubs but do not yet have seals.

I have seen talk of a new seal design that does not wear out quickly as compared to OEM but I have also seen posts stating that nothing but OEM is available.

Can someone please help with seal numbers that has used the newer ones (if there is such a thing).

Anybody have modern seal information or am I stuck entirely with OEM?
