I have not taken apart my spare "J" motor yet, but I did see one that was taken apart...IT had steel headgaskets!

I was wondering i know that the military used a 20:1 piston but what gasket did they use? Cometic or some other brand? what thickness was it?

thanks

Military used a .010" lower piston pin height...20:1 not sure if that was in their rebuilds or all their 6.2's BUT I think it was their standard?

wrist pin on civilian pistons were +.010" raising the compression to 21.3:1!

Do a search for the pistons that they used and look at the PIN height on the pistons
This is the militaries piston for the 6.2

Nice thread on the TURBO addition I see that you too visit other 6.2 sites)! I have a GM-8 set-up and "F" code intake just itching to go on my M1008! BUT a th700R4 addition will be first!
