Resurrecting a M151A2 with a 60amp gen. The truck's been sitting for 10-15yrs but with the hood closed. 1/4 inch of dust and old pollen but no rat nests. I cut the old belts and the gen turns but with just a hint of "scrunch" noise. Spin it up or flush it out with electrical cleaner then electrical lube spray? The solo wire coming from under the terminal cover is rotten but I think the connector was not plugged all the way in and caused resistance hence frying the wire. Easy to replace?
Any ideas to keep me from destroying a possibly good gen that's been sitting?
Thanks all,
