Hello,
We've run a 1991 M-923A1 5 ton for our brush truck on the Fire company for years, its been a great truck but recently it has been giving us issues with the air leaking up into the airbox and the brakes not building air properly. It's stumped our truck mechanic so far and I'm wondering if there's any common issues with the brakes on these trucks. I've heard ABS issues and maybe bypassing that would help? So far they have replaced the treadle valve, and checked all the brake chambers which all seam ok. He did say when taking lines off that air came out of the red line ( parking brake?) when the foot peddle was pressed which he thought shouldn't happen.
Ironically our neighboring company's similar truck has been down with Air issues as well for the last month and they can't get to the bottom of it yet either. Anyone in NE PA Area that's good with these trucks? Thanks in advance for any help! We need our Brush trucks up and running!
