We are looking into a lift gate, like what you see on a delivery truck. We are also having a removable 700gal skid unit built for use during our wildfire season.

.
I have to ask... Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me - I see an outrigger sticking out back on the passenger side? Also looks like there is the top of a crane boom sticking up behind the uprights on the bed. Is the plan to remove that crane and replace it with a lift gate?

If the crane stays, then your boarding ladder would have to be on the left or right side of the truck. And maybe you need some sort of bows and uprights to hold a tarp to keep the rescued folks dry if it is raining?

The crane is indeed staying, we are in the process of building a removable 700 gal skid unit and a removable boat rack for the back. In our rural area, the crane will have many uses. We have a full cargo kit waiting on us in Fort Worth. We will use the truck as a modular unit , Wildland, High water rescue, & a boat carrier.
