About five years since she last ran, finally got on it this weekend...she is purring like a kitten but the I think the Master cylinder has given up, has anyone swapped for the NAPA M2842...and if so, what was the swap like? Direct bolt up or...?
I am getting ready to either buy a new master cylinder or do a rebuild. Will know for sure what I am going to do tomorrow when I pull one more master cylinder.
Some people have used 2842 and said it is a direct replacement. It looks exactly like the original master cylinder I pulled off a parts truck of mine. I think an M35 master cylinder will work too. We just need to remove that check valve. Make your own decision, but this it what I am going to do.
Thanks USMC...I am going to see if I can find the NAPA one locally and have a look at it...as for the tires Kat...they are Generals, I think they were installed by the Canadian Forces as an alternative to the NDT's when the vehicle was used heavily in areas with lots of snow and ice...
Nice truck, even still has the original front tow shackles which always seem to be gone on trucks down here. It took me 6 years of junk yards and Mv rallies to finally get 2 for mine.
