Has anyone ever rebuilt one for the deuce? Any idea where to get a kit? I believe there are 3 types-single piston, dual piston, and the cooled early versions.

I haven't seen the coolant version, but the single and dual piston version parts kits should be available from any shop that services air brake components.

The only compressor that I have a NSN number for is the M35A3 truck.

NSN 2530013983384 Cage 11083 listed as being made by Cat.

Knowing CAT, I don't believe they ever made an air compressor, my money is on Bendix, Midland, or Rockwell as the companies that actually made the compressors used on these trucks.

The GMC Air compressors were coolant cooled. I do not think any of the multi fuel pumps were liquid cooled, only the two different cylinder types (single and dual) The Gas engine may have been liquid cooled also.

The gasket set for the Midland twin can be had from Napa. Napa may be able to get rings also but it's been a while since I looked into it.
