Air pressure brake light switch - cracked

Finally fixed the 3/8 trailer service line connection to the air pack with assorted flare thread fittings. When I unplugged the brake light switch wires, the plastic rear cover started to disintegrate.
Note the hairline cracks on the "good" side as well. I suspect that in the near future, the rear of that switch would have blown out.
Probably would not be catastrophic but I'd expect massive loss of air when applying brakes.


The switch is from a well-known vendor and appeared to be an OEM part. It has been on the truck for just over a year.

I have a spare - but (Murphy was watching) the spare has the smaller port (you see it in the picture), so I have to go get another standard flare thread bushing.

Just a reminder to maybe check on these buggers once in a while when you are under there.
