Alternator Bolts

What size are the bolts for mounting the alternators to the alternator brackets? My truck was a parts queen and was missing both.

Did you look at the parts manual?

the bolts are a size that are not available at the local hardware store... My previous experience... I ended up paying about $12 each for the longest one on the passenger side alt.
I would head to the local junkyard and see what you can find.... or put a WTB on the classifieds.....

Oh and check the -20P it will tell you everything you ever need to know!!

Another place to look for bolts would be at a gm dealer, if not at the parts store

#5 as listed is a 3/8" x 6.375...... or something close take the part number to local GM dealer or google part number 14067717 as see what you get......
the rest of the bolts are common items....... again you should be able to get lengths from GM or Googling...

mentions that you can order from GM....

and it's expensive lik the thread says about $16 for one...
