Anti friction tire substance… Medical Ultrasound Gel???

Guys, I’ve been doing some research.

It looks like simple water soluble medical ultrasound gel might be a viable alternative to the expensive anti-friction tire lubricant used in our Runflats.

I will need to check compound ratios and if they are ok, but I’m optimistic.

IMHO, wire pulling lube doesn't last long enough and runflat lube needs to last.

In many a medical office, ultrasound gel sits for years before use. It is either bacteriostagic or bacteriocidal. I just don’t know if the ratio of “snot” to water is enough.

I guess it's a little more complicated than the gel I use for ultrasonic thickness gauging.
Absolutely, yes.......!

Anyone trying to re-invent the wheel by using alternative substances for said purpose should at least read "Point 2 - Prior Art" in the attached PDF-file...
