I have a red dot complete and unused 24V a/c at home. Anyone ever adapt for use on FMTV?

Are there better options?

Is that for like an Ambo or something? The up-armored HMMWV uses a dual evaporator system but is engine driven. At least for two and four man versions.

If you have a NIIN I can possibly determine what it was intended for.

How old is it and what is it's BTU rating and amperage draw? Likely will need at least a 200A alternator and I think the ambulance and communications shelter HMMWV's had an even larger unit or a second alternator or something. My unit never had those models.

The better option is the factory system (which is 33,000 BTU for comparison). Currently that's not an *available* option due to surplus but they will come back in stock it's just a matter of when the next draw down happens and ultimately the market will be flooded in 10 years as the early A1P2's go to DLA.

I did. I used all the components except for the evaporator. I used the LMTV Gen 1 evaporator for the interior. It didn’t cool it well enough so slowly replaced the less expensive parts first like condenser and fan after that didn’t work I got rid of the Gen 1 evaporator and replaced it with the Gen 2 unit. That was the solution, now it will freeze you out. So basically the only thing left is the compressor, drier and hoses. I made a custom mount on the passenger side of the engine for the compressor. It was nice because the humvee kit allows you to make custom length hoses.
