Anyone put cruise control in their trucks?

Found a few companies online that say they have kits that should work. Anyone here done it? How'd it work?

I have used the throttle lock as a "Redneck Cruise Control" but it is not recommended since it won't disengage if you hit the brakes.

Depending on conditions and traffic cruise control can be dangerous.

Just my for what they're worth.

I also use the locking hand throttle. Works great for everything except 67mph freeway runs.

On my M923 w/dual 11.00s with throttle lock all the way out it only does 55mph, so that is my C/C as everyone is passing me anyway.

Bendix use to make one that ran on air. Came one on my 1985 motor home with 3208 still works great .

Yep.. Throttle lock for me too.... Mine out all the way and the truck runs smooth right at 68mph... I did this for the majority of the move from Ohio to Florida... worked like a champ!!
