Check your calendars and make sure you have Saturday 4 April 2009 set aside for the Gainesville , TX Medal of Honor Parade.
The parade starts at 1000 hrs.
We plan to be in place between 0830 and 0900 hrs.
If you would like to convoy up, be at Jimmy McLeod’s Entry Door, 2038 W. University in Denton and we will DEPART at 0730 hrs.
Even if you are not in the Motor Pool or Honor Guard, we still want you to be a part of the activities…we have PLENTY of riding space available.
I have had a number of folks call about riding in the vehicles…YES…who knows, you might even have a good time!
Directions; From I-35 in Gainesville , exit California St and go east on California .
Turn right at first light by Wendy’s and Taco Bell.
There should be someone to direct us at that point.
There are 12 recipients, at this time, that are scheduled to be there.
If we are very lucky we may have 1 or 2 ride with our group.
They may want our vehicles to go for static display immediately following the parade…just follow the leader.
