Hello all,
On my 923A2 I noticed recently the oil was a little milky/gray colored if it sits for awhile. I've noticed nothing wrong with the coolant, no power loss, or excessive smoke out of the exhaust stack. I have noticed that if I start the truck up, run it around a little while, and check the oil after I shut it down it looks perfectly fine, almost gold in color still. Today I pulled off the oil fill cap on the valve cover and noticed a large mass of grayish looking gunk right near the top, and the oil in the pan again that gray color.
My question is what should I be looking for, this seems like a head gasket issue to me due to the color of the oil. In my experience usually you'd also see the coolant beginning to look a similar milky color as well but I'm not seeing that.
Any help would be much appreciated.
