I will be picking up a M1079 here in the next few months. I’m getting together a tool pipe for the trip now and have a aftermarket 20ton jack. I have not been able to find anything about the “adapter plate” that originally came with the truck. I’m going to make one out of some steel beam but I don’t know the dimensions of the axle. I was wondering if anyone had any great info so I can get this right the first time?
Thanks for the help!96A6C571-11AE-492F-BD59-838EB6B7017B.png

Thanks! I super appreciate it! That’s weird it isn’t documented with the other tools for the job. Does the Army go strictly off the manuals for maintenance? In the Coast Guard we have Maintenance Procedure cards for each task regardless how big or small. Specifically outlining consumables, special tools, and procedures for any task.

It may be in the A1 and newer manuals but those arent available as easy.

The Army works from the TM's.

That’s a perfect answer to the mystery, thanks for sharing INFCheif!
Why the TM doesn’t show both is odd. If you GOOGLE “PS MAGAZINE” you can go to the home page and search for other evasive things you might need. You won’t find all their answers you’re looking for but when your back is against the wall ….
