building CTIS system

Not sure if anyone has tried this yet. But I plan on building CTIS system for both my 813 and the 923a2 I'm gettin here in a month or so. I'm gonna rig up 6 airline's that will go to each wheel. These lines will not be attached well driving of course. Haven't figured out if I wanna stow them in the frame rails or make a box for them on each side. Each air line will have a 3 way valve on it with a air gauge.So I can let air in or out. I'll prob add a spare air tank under the trucks somewhere's to speed up inflation. Would have all these valves either rigged up in the cab or in the tool box on the side of the truck,Air hose fittings for the valve stems would have to be of the screw on type. any suggestions are welcome

I am confused. Are you saying you are going to have an airline with a chuck for each wheel? So you can pull over and add air?

Yup basically but so I can do it all from the warmth of the cab after the airlines are connected

If you really can't put on a parka ... cool toys are NOT always the best!

Military CTIS worked ... sometimes. You will spend a lot of $$$ to try to re-create an iffy system.

I have pulled out a bunch of my hair, trying to get something out of the CTIS on a newer M36A3.

I really prefer the simple system. Air down, take guage, get out and do it!
Air up ... same as above.

CTIS, every week the truck has to be taken for a good highway run, just to get the tires back up to PSI.
If not, and the tires sit flat for just a bit .... buy new tires.

Unless you have the Gov't budget ... if it ain't broke ... Don't fix it!

all it's really gonna be is a air hose times 6. We do the same setup with the mud trucks. It's just so I don't have to get out and air down each tire one at a time

Sounds like a lot of work for something a tire chuck/air line off a glad hand would accomplish.
