Chains for M939A1 and A2 series vehicles

• For M939A1-series and M939A2-series 5-ton trucks, use chains on the intermediate axle only. CTIS doesn’t limit the use of chains on the intermediate axle.

Well, there's 5.5" between my tires. And those are 60%. So 5" or less for new tires. With the slop I've seen in trucks along I-90, I'd guess chain collision.
