My batteries are freshly charged, my deuce started right up, but the ammeter pointer is in the yellow. Does not seem to be efffected by revs.
All bettery terminals are clean. All gauges are funsctioning and new.

Does this mean my deuce is
A:not charging
B:charging, but not enough
C: I have a bad voltage regulator
D: I have a bad alternator

Your help in getting me to fix this issue is greatly appreciated!

Warren

BTW - my other problem with the master switch was the turn signal plug needing one more turn to snug up the connector...doh!

With a volt/ohm meter, check your voltages at the batteries, running and shut down; and if everything is right at that location, look towards the battery condition gauge being bad or, if it uses one, the shunt wire that it reads off of. Battery condition gauges won't show changes based on engine RPM like an old style ammeter will; just what the total voltage in the batteries are.
