Coil test

Does anyone know what the resistance on a 24 volt coil should be. I have 12.7 ohms on the primary circuit and 17.85 on the secondary. Problem is no fire at the points. Thanks

if I remember correctly you don't want a coil that reads Below 9ohms otherwise you could start frying the points ( to hot of spark )
