Colors???

Are there any other "official" colors besides OD or Tan? How about Airforce blue ? I saw a Navy grey deuce once.

I am planning to use military colors but want to stray a bit and get original.

kinda like AF blue.

The AF used Strata Blue on their deuces in the 50's (I remeber reading that somewhere). One wheel on my 5ton was painted blue at somepoint in its service life.

I like that blue dump with the crane on it.

The first and fourth pics are civvy re-paints. The 2nd is an actual Army fire truck, and the 3rd is painted Strata Blue. It also belongs to a SS member here...

That Strata blue is eye catching. I am kind partial to a black frame..........makes for a bit of detail.

I have never seen an M135/211 in any color the OD, well except my 3 color one.

I think in the last Supply Line there wers pics of 530B firetrucks. Funny, one of the wheels I have has stratta blue under the peeling green!

My first Deuce a 1967 was Strata Blue under the ol' faded OD....I did a very complete restore, It is on the Back cover of david Doyles standard catalog, One can see the quality of the paint from my buddys and me, a complete sandblast frame off job, BUT left the Blue under the Brake fluid trap door and in the Glove/map compartment on the dash, just had too...

Could the Strata blue be zinc chromate primer? We used blue zn-chromate on ships.
