First off: Read through the TM's and did a search here so plase do not give the generic, go read the TM
Last weekend I replaced the axle seals on my front, rear left.
After which things seemed to be ok, the oil stopped leaking out. I put about 40 PSI in the tire. When I started it up and tried to get the DTIS to fill itup, it tried then I got the 5 flashing lights.
I put 70PSI in the tire and tada the CTIS worked fine.
The following day I drove the truck, I waited until it hit 90PSI and off I went. The truck made attempts with the CTIS but failed, again all 5 lights flashing. To make it worse I got oil coming out of the input shaft seal.
My thought was the set of outer seals were not seated correctly. After waiting about 15 mins of sitting the CTIS worked fine.
This morning I decided to try again. as it was trying to fill or check the tires it actually applied some pressure to the brakes, I heard them squeek, as soon as I turned off the CTIS is went away.
I had cleaned the little purge valve on top of the axle as I thought that if there was air leaking and that was plugged that would be the cause of the oil from the input shaft seal.
So, per the mass knowledge here, do you think that it is the outer seals or should I start somewhere else as taking the tire off is not a fun task..
