OK so Just alil about my cucv.. I ve had her since March paid $3,700 and she had just hit 37000 miles a week after leaving the lot. Ive been through 3 starters before recently finding this site... I ve had a blown up battery and one with a melted terminal, broken power steering bracket which i will tig weld tomorrow. I have also dropped the tranny and replaced the flywheel. I regret to say now that i have mistakenly misunderstood the love ppl have for the cucv.... ( should have never painted it with a spray can just to get rid of the camo.... kick my self in the ___, for that one) Any ways i have grown fond of my 4x4 ex military female since putting what lil work i have and money into her... ( sounds just like a relationship... time effort and money its what make a women happy!)
So down to business, I'm not sure if my alt is bad or not, still have some looking to do on here on how i can test it myself... wanted to ohm it out but I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing there... I also have to buy a 24v starter for which i found a site, which offers one for just under 100.00 plus shipping... now as for the alt if someone knows where i can find a rebuild kit for it well that would be nice...
As for the site... in case anyone is looking for a starter or alt ... which the alt was just under 200.00 i believe... www.rareelectrical.com
