curious what your title says- Kaiser or Jeep?

in getting insurance quotes and talking with DMV and just in general speaking with people, the fact that this truck I'm getting is a "Kaiser" really throws them off. Does the title say Jeep or Kiaser? On the tax exemption form Alex sent down, it said Jeep so I was just curious what all your titles said? thanks

I've had them come from DRMO with Jeep or Kaiser, and sometimes Kaiser-Jeep, just all depends on what the DRMO clown types in....always check your VIN numbers they have a habit of messing those up....course now we have GL instead of DRMO.....let's not even go there.....

I have a friend at DMV so it was easy. I wanted authenticity for my rig so the title shows Kaiser. We were able to get the date of manufacture by comparing the dates on the axle housings. Thats not fool proof but will get you close cause axles are rarely changed, unlike motors and trannies.
two of my axles were dated early '67 and one was late '66. So that makes it most likley a 1967.
Officially the name change to AM General didnt take place till April 1971. But Kaiser did have a special division which was formed in 1967. The change to AM General didnt take place till a year after AMC bought Kaiser.

Also for those still awaiting their trucks..If you print out the "history" page from AM GENERAL that will give you a leg to stand on with dmv. That is if you want it titled properly. I still think its funny that people have 60's or 70's era trucks with titles reading 2002 etc... Just my .02.
