Did not need a SF97 in Michigan

80 days and no SF97. Just got tired of waiting for it. I went to the Michigan SOS, same as DMV in other states, website and filled out their TR-205 form. Took the TR-205 form, bill of sale and the data plate, to the local SOS branch office. I got it titled today for $15.00. They used the Gov ID number and the Vin number to get the 17 digit number the computer would accept. I now have a registration for a 1971 Jeep Stake and the title will be here in two weeks.
