so discussion has come up amongst some friends. and here is what i think the differences are. please set me straight.

A0 or the original early 90's to the A1's introductions were all powered by mechanically injected 3116 cats that are almost identical to the m35a3 motors? non abs allison 7 speed

A1 series had the later and improved 3126 HEUI/electronically controlled engine with improvements to the tranny/different allison tranny seat and improvements to the cargo cover fabrics, body reinforcements and hinge designs? ABS?

I keep seeing mention of the A1 variants having a better transmission. All I can find is that the A1 has the Allison MD3070pt. I thought the A0 original trucks had a 3070 transmission as well? It does look like maybe the original trucks had the WTEC II controller and the A1 variants had the WTEC III?

As for the engine, the 3116 = 6.6L, 225HP. The 3126 = 7.2L, 275HP.
The A1 variant introduced ABS and electronic engine diagnostics.

I have been trying to research the differences in the trucks and haven't found a lot of details on the web.

interesting. its going to be good when these start releasing in mass numbers here pretty quick. they have all met there 15 year life or bettter. heck even the A1's have a good chance of being released.

I think they are ramping up the number of these being sold. I picked mine up last week, which including the ones selling this week, make at least 35 trucks sold so far (by my browsing and estimation) since January. I posted in the other thread about highway speed, but I can tell you my A0 variant has Rockwell axles. I may try to start a thread of random info once I have spent a little more time going over everything on it.

Don't need trucks when you surrender everywhere and close the Army. Should be lots of great stuff for a while yet.
