We have two MV showcases planned at the Camp Delta at Tower Park meet on Friday April 24, 2015. This is at Stockton Delta KOA between Rio Vista and Lodi, CA. It is the largest annual MV swap meet and gathering in the West, running April 19-26 with the biggest days Wed-Sat. Last Sunday is a pull out day. MVs in any condition are welcome. We do not do formal judging but there will be two People's Choice contests with cash prizes from sponsors to be named:
Foreign MV Showcase - Looking for Pinzgauer, Unimog, Volvo, Kubelwagen, Schwimmwagen, Land Rover, other British, Canadian, German, Italian, Russian, etc. Now is the time to strut your non-U.S. made stuff! We are also allowing U.S. made MVs for foreign contracts such as jeeps with British, Russian, and Chinese-coded dataplates even if marked for an American unit now. Also U.S. made MVs portraying a foreign unit.
Emergency MV Showcase - Ambulance, Police, Fire, Rescue, Wrecker. If you have a foreign emergency vehicle you can enter both displays!

This was the "Concours d'Eleguns" in 2012. If anyone asks if it's OK to have weaponry on or behind our MVs when coming into California, this should answer that question. As with other Showcases, there were cash prizes for the top three People's Choice winners. In this case the sponsor was Ron Fitzpatrick Jeep Parts.
For those who have not been to the BIG April version of this meet (we do a smaller one in September), please look closely at the event info here: http://www.mvccnews.net/event_pages/...ark_spring.htm
Parking and camping info is important. Also there is hotel info, tentative activities schedule, directions, and a cool campground map showing who was camped where last April! This will be updated to 2015 before the meet. FYI KOA has a plan to expand camping into the farm field to the east. We should know in a month if it will be in place by April.
If you can participate or want to help organize or sponsor either display, please send me an email. Sponsors will achieve considerable recognition. Also mark your calendar for the 2016 MVPA National Convention to be held in Pleasanton, CA on August 11-13, 2016.
