I have a 1952 studabaker m44/m35. It was already bobbed when i purchased it.the original engine and trans were swapped out for a ford 460 and five speed from an f600. I have located a running turbo charged multi feul engine with the original five speed deuce trans atatched. I would like very much to put this in my deuce.

I have been told this assembly should fit without any big problems. As this is my first deuce i would appreciate any information i can get. Also i am going to run 16-20's on hemmit rims with conversion plates.does anybody know if i will have to lift the truck or what problems i will need to address?

Thanks

The power plant swap should be easy if the stock motor mounts are still there. If you can post pics we might be able to help.
Lots of stuff needed for 1600s a search will net you hours of reading.

I will try to post some pictures. The front crossmember is gone. I have the equipment to build a new one. I am still sorting out what's missing. The stock steering is gone. They added a power steering box Out of an f800 according to the guy i got it from. Tire hits the pitman arm so i am going to have to move the gear box

That bobber with the 460 might sell to the right person for enough to buy a bobbed multifuel. There is always someone wanting a somewhat faster truck.

It is starting to look as if it will cost more to fix the deuce. I have found a 1970 m818 for 1500. thinking it would be better to purchase it and bob it. I pulled the 460 only to find the frame hacked for the ford radiator and the transmission mounts destroyed.
