FMTV new purchase checklist - Looking for your input

Hey there-

Has anyone (everyone) put together a "new" vehicle maintenance/service/must do checklist for FMTV? I have one started but looking for more input based on owners' experiences. Not looking for the obvious (ie change fluids) - looking for the quirks specific to FMTV or military vehicles...check this, change that, replace this, etc.

Feel free to post here or PM me lists - I'd like to compile your input and post results.

Check fan tightness every time the cab is tilted. If its loose make sure its just the bolts (add locktight) and not the aluminum fan hub disintegrating.

I have always followed the T.Ms and service sheets. As when you are going through the check lists and adjustments and you are alert, 'things' untoward can usually be spotted. (and noted where necessary) for future reference. And one of the most important checks, particularly for us, is the "first and always" walk around. my 1/2 penne'th
