72m35a2,
Try not to take it personally my friend. This site is pretty close knit unit, with its share of god ol' boys. Many different personalities and a wealth of experience.
They just want to ensure your truck is safe not just for you and other people on the road but for the MV collectors in general. The average public zombie does not understand why we collect and drive these often antiquated vehicles.
It seems whenever there is an incident concerning one of these vehicles it gets plastered all over the local media.
Sheds a damaging light onto the hobby, and we all know the Government doesn't need much of an excuse to harass or stop the sale to the public all together.
So to put it in short, They are protecting you and the rest of us by trying to give you sound advice. Sometimes it can get a bit aggressive.
Think of them as drill Sergeants, its for your own good. Don't take it personally.
It could be worse lol you could have these 2 guys standing over you while you change the tire haha
It's all good, I'm glad you have your tires on the way and you can get rolling with confidence. Check the brakes while you have the tires off if you haven't already. The brake system on these trucks is unforgiving.
"doing it twice to make it nice" is not the normal work ethic around here.
"im learning everyday and unless someone can prove they have restored a duece from the ground up starting with the first bolt and doing 100% of the work multiple times and have a full shop stocked with every nut bolt and part and the factory blueprints i see them as no expert!"
This part of your post will work them up. The reason is, many people on here are those kinds of experts, that's the reason why they are so passionate. This website is literally the holly grail of information and parts.
Get in the good books and you will have no shortage help in the future. Some of these guys with drive across a State to help out one another.
Cheers, Brother; and hope you're not leaving mad.cheers everyone
thanks broCheers, Brother; and hope you're not leaving mad.

There are a lot of 70's Fords out there that have the same rim. When 105 trailers were abundant, I outfitted my F600 with 6 that had nubs. Sold the trailers with some nice 10.00's from a Ford. Can't do that any more though.i see zero duece's running around my area. i called some shops just for a safety inspection and they all thought i didnt have a head lol
