Fuel pump recommended.

I have a 1952 M211 original motor. My after market fuel pump has gone out. I ordered one like it and it does not seem to be the same. It is a Faucet brand pump, 1.5 to9 psi. It just doesn’t seem to draw and pump like the other pump.

Any suggestions on a better drawing and pumping pump??

We keep finding these external fuel pumps on the wrecks we recover. I'm sure they're just 24v fuel pumps.

One problem I read was the draw through the old tank needs to be modified if you use an external pump. It was a post by Stan Leschart who found a problem when someone went external.

Your previous pump may have had enough heart to suck that problem away and the new one doesn't. If you're plumbed correctly and it's pushing 3 1/2 lbs which the 302 seems to love.....maybe it's that volume measurement I saw in a manual. 9-8024 maybe. I can look later. It's a certain volume per minute to be sure the pump doesn't cavitate under full rpm.

Be aware there may be an air bleed at the top of the pickup inside the tank. Some had a bleed low by the pump and others had a bleed above the fuel level. That causes problems with an external pump. Once I figured that out, life got better!
