I went to try to start up my XM211 this morning.
It has been in storage for a few years so I didn't
have any great expectations.
I hooked up a slave cable from my M1008 to the XM211. It took a while for the fuel to make its way
but then it started up and stayed up. Pretty smooth
for an old engine.
Problem is, once I disconnected from the M1008,
it died.
The batteries are old and I expect they are dead.
But I am thinking that it should run ok if the generator was working. Is it possible that
just the batteries are at fault? The generator had been working fine when it was put in storage.
Any ideas on this?
Thanks for any suggestions.
