Generator not starting right

Afternoon
One of my coworkers has an issue with a MEP 802A generator. He describes it like this. Cranking and starting but half the gauges not working. Pulled voltage relay, checked, swapped. Now generator will crank but no start. He rechecked all the other relays, all are good. Any help be appreciated

What is a voltage relay? Why did he pull it? Has he replaced the relay with the relay taken out? What gauges did not work. And last, has he downloaded the TM's and maybe read the operators TM a bit? Would it not be better if your co-worker was telling us this stuff? He is the one who saw it all happen.

Did he mean voltage regulator?

Multiple things not working at once usually points to a ground issue.

If he swapped a component and now it won't start, there is a good chance he didn't put it back together exactly the same way.
