Gillespie 383 tough enough for under chassis?

I'm to the point on my project to start prepping the under chassis for paint. Is the Gillespie tough enough to use on the under carriage or should I go for something like POR-15 or Eastwood's chassis black?
Thoughts?

Paint would be okay if it's going to sit in a museum but if you're going to drive it you need something tougher. I've never used the POR-15 but from what i've read on this site it's what you want.
