I'm looking for some info on the development of the GMV Variant of the HMMWV for the Special Operations groups.
For example, did depots start with an M998 and just add the hardtop, C-pillar and SF accessories? Or did they start with a M1025 or similar armament carrier, remove the sponsons and then add weapons mounts, half-doors, etc?
Any knowledge you can add regarding the history of the GMV would be greatly appreciated!
