Im looking for possible support to pick up my first CUCV at Nellis. Just won an auction last week. I would be more than happy to supply gas money, lunch etc! In addition, I am active duty at Ft. Bliss so if anyone needs any help gimme a holler!

2 questions; What is your plan; driving CUCV back to Ft Bliss or trailering? Is this a first EUC wait for you? If so it'll be a while before you need to loadout. Meanwhile, I pretty much live the opposite direction from Nellis and wouldn't be able to help transport, but could assist w/inspection or whatever, if needed. I'm about 2 and a half hours from Nellis.

I was just there today getting my Genset and 1009. Did you win a 1008 or a 1009? If you won a 1008, it has a bent rear driveshaft, and as such, is not driveable.

Thanks guys! Right now I am tdy in Canada but will be stateside next week. Right now I am debating weather to fly out there and take my chances driving it back or drive from El Paso in case I have to tow it. Oh , and my wife is knee deep in my rear about going to "Vegas"! lol!
I will be in touch when I get back. Thanks again!

I got one of the M1009s at Nellis last week...My newer 1986 model. I will be in the area next week for a Front Sight course, but dont know if I will get the chance to go see my truck.

My first EUC took something like 70 days last summer, this one should be faster for me.

Check Incredilion's Nellis recovery thread...

I may just go with the guys he used to recover and service it, then just get to Vegas and drive it home.
