This topic has caused lots of arguements on the Zone. The civilian 230 head gasket has been found to work by people that go to NAPA and buy one. Those that don't buy them, claim they will not work. Looking at the pictures of the civilian one mounted on the military engine, they look fine to me. All the holes line up. But, there is a little bit of gasket that overhangs part of the block on the outside. I have not done this myself, so that is all I will say about the civilian one.
If you want to go that way, tell them it is a 1963 Wagoneer with the 230.
If you want the proper military one, try AB Linn or VPW. They "might" have one.
Sorry I can't help you more.
