A new guy here would love to get into this hobby. Been watching from the sidelines for years. Finally have a place big enough to do some work (300+ acres on a farm I am renting with a very relaxed landlord) I am looking for any suggestions on how to get started with a minimal outlay of cash. I appreciate any help you can offer.

Welcome to the site. Lots of good information available and a great group of people. Sounds like you have the biggest problem under control, enough room to house all the OD green items you will get. Biggest thing to figure out is what do you have an interest in, armor, 2 1/2 ton, 5 ton, CUCV, CCKW etc. All have their pros and cons.

Welcome. Its my first day on here. I would suggest you look at M1009, M1008,M1028. You cant go wrong...

Always had a soft spot for the 2 1/2 ton trucks but I am open to anything. I have considered starting with a tractor and lowbed trailer to make it easier to bring the rest of the toys home. This could also be used around the farm to try to justify it to the lady.
