Back in 2004 I had the privilege of supporting the 60th anniversary ceremonies at Normandy. I was very surprised at the number of restored US military vehicles and reenactors present. It seems France and other european countries have quite a MV restoration following. Also, for what it's worth, we US Soldiers received a very warm welcome and great hospitality from the French during our time there. It was much appreciated.
