M 66 m109's head lights and horn solinoid are not working. The wiring harness is new and the lights and horn worked last summer. I also have a new lever light switch in the dash. The the truck never has starting problems and the batteries are new and charge. Could there be a problem w/ the alternator connections, etc. ? Thanks for the help!

Seems like most older MVs electrical problems come down to bad grounds. Start checking those out first. Optimum set-up is; bare metal of frame/body/bracket, etc. with inside-outside star washer, then wire terminal followed by another star washer and the nut. If you're using a bolt as the terminal/stud then put a star washer under it's head too.

Two distinctly different problems... Do you have power to the dimmer switch when the Service Drive Lights switch is on? Remember it will not work if your dash light lever is in the park position... Usually with the horn... the problem is in the switch or wiring in the steering column... do you have power and ground at the solenoid when you push the button? Remember that the light switch has to be off lock in brakelight or service drive position for the horn to work in most cases as I remember it.

i thought the horn would work in any position, but i could be wrong. the circuit breaker on the firewall above the steering column is for the horn and heater if installed
