Still looking for a humveee. Got this image back from a seller today....
what-is-it.jpg

As I mentioned, when I was in the service, I only ever did PMCS at the "it doesn't look broken" level. If it didn't start, it was off to the motor pool or depot. I looked at a humvee listed for sale online and asked for pictures of under the hood and got this. So, showing my ignorance, what am I looking at here? And what condition would you say this whatever-it-is is in? :)

What you are looking at appears to be a 2 cylinder, water cooled 2 stroke ski-doo engine. Not a Humvee engine.
Thanks. Sounds about right :) He sent a couple of other pictures, but this one was in the pile and I was scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck is was I was seeing. I'm thinking "not something that looks like it belongs" (shades of Sesame Street's "One of these things is not like the others" song) but <shrug> you never know.

That does not look one 'seller' you should trust. A humvee that is not. Try asking him to supply a ..food mixer!. (and, Look elsewhere).

That's a two stroke snowmobile engine. Why would the seller of a HMMWV send that unless it was by accident. If he is joking around I'd probably walk away from that deal
