help with HMMWV engine

ok can u identify this people think its a fast idle i dont think it is one any help? this is on a 6.2 litre diesel engine

we gotta have a password to get into Diesel Place... A fast idle is about 1000 rpm.

that should be the throttle position sensor.

Trans kickdown. TH400s kickdowns are electronic controled by that switch.

[edit] Or its the fan cutoff. During WOT passing gear it cuts the fan off for more speed. If you have ever driven a HMMWV, you will understand just how much power the fan robs! [edit]
