Im new here, and just wanted to say hello. Im going to purchase a M35A2 from auction. Im thinking about bidding on one today at the Redstone Arsenal, AL. Does anybody have any words of wisdom for me? its a little scary since they are all sight unseen, and I havent used the Government Liquidation bid process before.

Welcome aboard shipmate. With Gl, learn to hurry up and WAIT. Then just when you can't stand it - WAIT some more. USUALLY it works out ok. Sometimes you can get a sweet truck at a great price and drive off after a systems check. Sometimes you get a great truck at an AWESOME price only to have GL or the Gov pull the rug out for some unknown reason. And sometimes you get a dog of a truck at an inflated price that makes you wonder what you're doing. But it usually works out.

If at all possible preview the item you want to buy, or ask one of the great members on the board here to preview it for you. Don't forget about the fees and taxes GL adds when you plan your bidding strategy. Most of all, have fun and if you win...POST PICS!!!!!!!!!

I just bid on my first truck, sight unseen (either in person and nobody could go view it). Unfortunately been out bid. Oh well. Hope you get some better luck.

If you don't win this go around, just remember that there will be more the next week and week after.

It's also comforting to know that we're bidding against people who buy 20+ trucks per auction.

BTW, some of us have trucks that we've gone through that are for sale for not much more than GL prices.

You have entered a zone from which there is no escape....MV's are like tater chips...you can't have just one.

If you don't want to take your chances with GL I am near Redstone and have several deuces out in the pasture that need adopting.

The adoption fees are reasonable and you can come pet them before you take one home.

My fellow members can vouch for my character (don't ask about sanity though).
